Air India Express (IX) has broadened its reach by launching operations at Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, in addition to its current services at Goa International Airport (GOI).
The airline now boasts over 115 weekly flights from Goa, with 75 departing from GOI and more than 40 from GOX, thereby improving access to the tourist hotspots in North Goa.
Under Tata’s ownership, Air India Express operates two flights daily between North Goa and Delhi, along with daily routes to Bengaluru and Indore. Flights to Chennai are available every day except Wednesdays.
To further enhance its network, the airline has announced new connections set to begin in May.
As of April 15, Air India Express has commenced domestic flights from Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, complementing its existing operations at Goa International Airport (GOI). The combined weekly flights from both airports exceed 115.
The airline has initiated twice-daily flights to Delhi and daily services to Bengaluru, Indore, and Chennai, with plans to introduce a route to Hyderabad on May 3. Additionally, international flights will start with services to Kuwait on May 3 and Abu Dhabi on May 5, 2025.
Air India Express has made history as the first and only airline to operate from two airports in the National Capital Region, launching services from Hindon, Ghaziabad. Besides direct flights to Goa, the airline connects Hindon to Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Varanasi. With a rapidly expanding fleet, Air India Express recently celebrated the arrival of its 100th aircraft, effectively doubling its capacity in just two years. The airline now operates over 500 daily flights across 55 destinations in India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
A launch event took place at Manohar International Airport, featuring prominent airline and airport officials, including Siddhartha Butalia, Chief Marketing Officer of Air India Express; Shashi Chetia, Vice President of Network Planning at Air India Express; and Anand Ramachandran.
