Shadows of Conflict: Latest Updates on Firing at LoC After India’s Strategic Victory Over Pak

Fighting has resumed along the Line of Control (LoC) just hours after India successfully countered a series of missile and drone strikes from Pakistan aimed at military installations and various cities. India responded decisively to the provocations from Pakistan.

Recent updates on the India-Pakistan conflict:

Air raid sirens sounded in Chandigarh following a warning from the Air Force Station, prompting residents to stay indoors and avoid balconies.

Indian stock markets opened lower today due to rising tensions, with the Sensex initially dropping 1,300 points before recovering to a 500-point decline.

The Nifty index, which fell below 24,000, managed to regain that level.

Meanwhile, Pakistani forces resumed firing along the Line of Control in areas like Kupwara and Uri, to which the Indian Army responded effectively.

Tragically, 16 civilians, including three women and five children, lost their lives due to Pakistani shelling yesterday.

In response to the escalating situation, a blackout was imposed overnight in Jammu, Srinagar, and other cities, with Punjab experiencing a total blackout until 5 am.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced his arrival in Jammu to assess the situation following a thwarted drone attack by Pakistan aimed at Jammu city and surrounding areas.

Additionally, India successfully intercepted a second wave of Pakistani airstrikes targeting military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur, as well as several cities in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab. In light of the increasing tensions, Indian aviation authorities closed 24 airports yesterday, including those in Chandigarh, Srinagar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Shimla, Jodhpur, Jammu, and Pathankot.
