Khalistanis interrupt the UK premiere of Kangana Ranaut’s “Emergency”

Published:

A Khalistani group of demonstrators reportedly interrupted a London movie theater’s showing of Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency. Khalistanis in masks barged into the theater where the Emergency movie was being screened.

There was a commotion and panic, and UK Police arrived at the movie theater after a large number of people had left.

However, none of the Khalistani demonstrators at the movie theater were taken into custody by the UK police. A crowd is seen shouting anti-Indian slogans and “Khalistan Zindabad” during the movie screening in several videos that have gone viral on social media.

The movie theater was filled with fear and terror as some patrons were observed arguing with the assailants. The director and co-producer of Emergency, Kangana Ranaut, expressed her disappointment on Instagram on Monday that her film had not been screened in Punjabi theaters.

In Canada and the UK, she said, some people are boycotting her movie. Emergency is a historical biographical drama film that depicts events that happened while Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister of India, was in charge.
