Bhubaneswar, dated 05/05: Intense preparations are underway for the upcoming five-star Ollywood Awards to be held in Singapore. For the second time in the history of Odia cinema, this film festival is being organized outside the country through the joint initiative of R.R. Events and Cine Productions (R.R.E.C.P.) and the Odia Society of Singapore. The Ollywood Awards are being taken abroad to gain international recognition and honor, driven by the strong ambition of Ramesh Barik, the founder of R.R. Events and Cine Productions.
Previously, for the first time outside India, R.R.E.C.P. successfully organized this awards ceremony in Dubai last year.

Five Star Film Awards–2025 Singapore: According to organizers, this colorful festival named Five Star Film Awards–2025 Singapore will showcase the finest of Odisha’s exceptional art, rich culture, and high-quality cinema.
The grand and majestic event will also feature a handloom exhibition, a fashion show by Boyanika, captivating Odissi dance performances, and the melodious resonance of traditional Odia music, offering audiences a unique and vibrant cultural experience.
At the Quantum Arena auditorium of One World International School in Singapore, this world-class film festival is set to begin on the afternoon of the 10th. The event will witness the participation of thousands of prominent Odias residing in Singapore, along with Odia cinema lovers, the general public, and fans of Odia film stars, who are expected to gather and be part of this cinematic celebration.
It has been learnt that around 100 renowned artists from the fields of film, dance, and music in Odisha will be flying from Bhubaneswar to Singapore to participate in the Five Star Film Awards festival.
At this second International Odia Film Awards ceremony, several distinguished guests are scheduled to attend, including Saniyan Joshi, First Officer of the Indian High Commission, renowned industrialist K. Ramamurthy, MLAs Akash Das Nayak, Prashant Jayadev, and Agasti Behera, who will all be present and take part in the event.
Renowned filmmaker Sabyasachi Mohapatra is serving as the chairperson of the jury committee responsible for selecting the winners of the Five Star Film Awards. Speaking to the media, organizer Ramesh Barik stated that the primary aim of the festival is to present and establish the quality and transparency of Odia cinema on the global stage.
Alongside the main event, Subrat Nayak, president of the Odia Society of Singapore, emphasized that the festival also aims to raise public awareness in Singapore about Odisha’s lesser-known art, culture, tourism, cuisine, traditions, sculpture, and handicrafts, while encouraging foreign investment in these sectors.
Kishore Dwibedi, the chief advisor of the festival and president of the World Odisha Society, praised this noble initiative by R.R. Events and Cine Productions, stating that honoring talented Odia artists on an international platform in Singapore is truly commendable.
