First week with the S25 Edge: Real user review

Published:

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S25 series last month, featuring the typical trio of devices: the standard Galaxy S25, the larger Galaxy S25 Plus, and the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Additionally, Samsung provided a preview of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which I find particularly intriguing; however, I will reserve further discussion until the device is officially released and available for hands-on experience. Currently, among the three models launched in the Indian market, most discussions center on the Plus and Ultra variants. This focus is understandable, given their larger batteries and displays, which tend to attract consumer interest. However, I personally do not share the same enthusiasm for larger displays.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Design and Display
The Galaxy S25 refines its existing design with more prominent rear camera rings. Now offered in a stylish Icy Blue, it is designed for easy one-handed use. While its flat edges enhance grip, the matte finish may lead to slipping, so a case is recommended.

The display remains the same as last year, featuring a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It maintains a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, ensuring visibility in bright sunlight.

With Samsung’s next flagship series approaching, the Galaxy S25 Edge is highly anticipated for 2025. As the lightest and slimmest model in the S25 lineup, it promises a sleek design, strong specifications, and an innovative camera experience.

This article will explore all available details about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, including its expected launch date, key features, and comparisons with the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Whether you’re considering a new Android flagship or are simply curious about upcoming releases, this guide offers comprehensive insights into the S25 Edge.

In comparison to non-Samsung devices, the $799 Apple iPhone 16 is slightly larger, measuring 5.81 by 2.82 by 0.31 inches and weighing 6.0 ounces. Meanwhile, the $799.99 Google Pixel 9 is even more substantial than both the S25 and the iPhone 16, with dimensions of 6.0 by 2.8 by 0.3 inches and a weight of 7.0 ounces.

In conclusion, the S25 Edge has proven to be a dynamic addition to the smartphone market, offering a blend of cutting-edge features and user-friendly design. While some areas may warrant improvement, such as battery life optimization and software enhancements, the overall performance and camera quality stand out as notable strengths. Whether you are a tech enthusiast or a casual user, the S25 Edge holds its ground as a competent and stylish device. With a balance of innovation and familiarity, this smartphone earns its place as a worthy contender in the flagship category.
