Airspace Clash: India Dismantles Chinese Defenses in Support of Pakistan

Published:

The Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully disrupted Pakistan’s air defense systems, which were supplied by China, to carry out a series of targeted strikes on terrorist and military locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) from May 7 to 10, as part of Operation Sindoor, according to government sources on Wednesday.

This information emerged shortly after a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which assessed the security situation along the western border following an agreement reached on May 10 that concluded four days of intense conflict with Pakistan.

The IAF managed to bypass and jam the Chinese-supplied air defense systems in a swift operation that lasted only 23 minutes, showcasing India’s technological superiority, as stated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The term ‘jamming’ refers to the act of disrupting or confusing the enemy’s radar and communication systems. The ’23 minutes’ indicates the duration taken by the IAF and army in the early hours of May 7 to target nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK, which were meticulously chosen based on reliable intelligence and their history of engaging in terrorist activities.

All operations were carried out without any loss of Indian assets, highlighting the efficiency of our surveillance, planning, and execution capabilities.

The strikes were made possible through the use of advanced indigenous technology, including long-range drones and precision-guided munitions, ensuring their effectiveness and political sensitivity.

Operation Sindoor was initiated in response to the tragic terror attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where 26 individuals, primarily tourists and predominantly Hindu, were killed, marking the deadliest assault on civilians since the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
