A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Nepal during the early hours of Friday. The epicenter of this seismic event was identified in the Sindhupalchowk District, located within the Central Region of Nepal’s Himalayan area.
As reported on the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center’s website, the earthquake struck at 2:51 AM local time in Bhairavkunda, Sindhupalchowk district. Tremors were felt by residents in various regions of Nepal, especially in the eastern and central areas. Additionally, the seismic activity was recorded in parts of neighboring India and Tibet, China.
Preliminary evaluations suggest that there have been no immediate reports of casualties or major structural damage, while local authorities are actively assessing the situation in the affected regions.
