According to the Mumbai police, an intruder attacked Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra, Mumbai, residence on Thursday, January 16.
3:30 am was the time when the actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital for surgery.
The actor sustained a total of six stab wounds. Two of these wounds were deep and one was near the spine.
On Thursday, around 2:30 am, the attack was reported.
Based on the police’s initial investigation, there was only one attacker.
Sources say Khan was stabbed multiple times when an intruder attempted to attack Kareena Kapoor and her children while they were sleeping.
In their report, the police stated that the accused was carrying a sharp object but they have not yet determined whether it was a knife. The police have reported that the suspect is currently evading capture.
Actor Saif Ali Khan’s condition needs to improve before his statement can be taken. The initial statements from the actor’s family members have been documented by the police.
An investigation into the matter is currently underway. The Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police is present at the actor’s home to look into the incident.
