The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to release the board exam results for Class 10 and 12, impacting over 4.2 million students who took their exams from February 15 to April 4, 2025.
Following historical trends, both classes’ results are anticipated to be announced together around mid-May. Students can access their scorecards through official channels like cbse.gov.in, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app.
Historical data shows that girls have consistently outperformed boys, with the pass rates in 2024 reaching 87.98% for Class 12 and 93.60% for Class 10. To pass, students need a minimum of 33% in each subject, although grace marks may be given to those who are close to the threshold.
Although CBSE has not officially confirmed the result date, previous years suggest a mid-May announcement, with results released on May 13 in 2024 and May 12 in 2023. The only notable exception was in 2022, when results were postponed to July 22 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
As in prior years, the results for Class 10 and 12 are expected to be declared at the same time.
